  • Drake adding staff as product lines grow
    Despite the recession, Drake Extrusion has managed to keep expanding, and it is not done.
    “We don’t see that we’ve finished (expanding) at this point in time,” Drake Chief Executive Officer John Parkinson said this week.
    In April, the company announced that it had invested $3 million in new machinery to expand its product lines and would hire 25 full-time employees.

    A local South Charleston business is looking for a full time machinist. The perfect candidate will be able to operate conventional machines & will work well under pressure!

    Some of the job duties include adjusting input of computer systems for accuracy of machine operation, and as a machinists you will utilize machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, and machining centers, to produce precision metal parts which may require the use of laser devices, designed by engineers.

    Machinist utilize machine tools like milling machines, grinders, and lathes to create metal parts.
    Must be able to operate Manual Lathes, Drill press, etc. CNC lathes and milling machines is a plus.

    You must be reliable and pay close attention to detail. Working in a team enviroment while being effective and maintaining a great work ethic is an absolute must.


    Your machinist skills will be put to great use at this fantastic company! This is a full time on-going position and the pay is between $11.50-$14.00 depending on experience.
    DAY SHIFT HOURS!!

    Machinist/Lathe/CNC operator


    Must be able to meet the following requirements

    - 3 years minimum experience
    - Must pass a background check
    - Must pass a drug test
    - RELIABLE transportation
