Crash! Mori SV-50 finds weak spot in Komet ABS50 Connection

Bummer.

Looks like the part moved. And the tool held up against a lot of force- enough to move the adjacent part.

That’s kind of a semi-marginal setup, it would help to have something stopping the parts against the direction of tool rotation in X, or maybe a big C clamp across the parts on the join line. There’s also the possibility of lifting anytime you have 2 parts clamped like that.

I do it- but I go easy…

That’s a big drill, and even in aluminum t5he tool pressure goes way up when the inserts get dull. It appears to have just grabbed the part and slid it over. You can back off the chipload, you don’t have to worry about breaking the chip…
