RS232 DNC over ethernet device?

I saw something online a while back about using an ethernet connected server to run RS232 port stuff, just wondering if anyone has experience with them. Apparently you can connect it to your local area network (ethernet) and it hosts a LAN web page that lets you upload your file to it, then it will feed the data through the rs232 for drip feeding a machine.

I don’t know what to expect considering there are a lot of off the shelf devices intended for drip feeding older machines, but if these things actually work they might be great. Moxa and ChiYu are a couple brands available on amazon.
